The SEDEC invited the Ombudsperson for Children ,Mrs Rita Vencatasawmy , for a half day work session
It is a known fact that the school is the mirror of the wider society and that students' misbehaviour and indiscipline is revelatory to deeper socials ills.
The Pedagogical Advisors of SeDEC have noticed many hardship situations in primary schools where children have temper and emotional outbursts. These children are defiant and sometimes out of control. Such behaviours have a negative effect on the normal pedagogical practices and the functioning of the school community.
With this in mind the SEDEC invited the Ombudsperson for Children ,Mrs Rita Vencatasawmy , for a half day work session on Thursday 27th August 2020 in order to provide the right response to address these societal issues ,ranging from parental responsibility ,pedagogical approaches ,teacher -pupil relationship, pastoral care and school culture.
